My husband and I went to Roatan for the first time. We stayed at the West Bay Lodge and spa and were not disappointed. I would highly recommend staying here as the staff is wonderful so friendly and you are right down the street from the beach literally a three minute walk. Everywhere we go we felt so safe and comfortable. The food and people in the island are fabulous. We will definitely be going back and staying at the West Bay Lodge.

In June of this year, I booked a bungalow at this resort for a trip to take place in May of 2025, and I paid a deposit. Unfortunately our plans changed, and on September 5, 2024, I canceled our reservation on line. To be on the safe side, that same day I emailed the resort and told them I had to cancel. It has been almost two months, and I have still not received a refund! I have emailed again but gotten no results. Beware!

Melony gave the best message I ever had. Perfect amount of pressure and worked out all the kinks. She went over allotted time to ensure she relieved all my tension spots. Excellent Very, very reasonable price. Spa was clean, not super fancy but the individual room was super comfortable, air conditioned, great smell and candle lit. Highly recommend

We stayed in a 2-bedroom condo for one night on our way home from Utila . Short walk across the street from the property to our condo. Safe with a guard stationed at the entrance. Everything in the condo was clean, but a bit aged. Linens were fresh and beds very comfy. Soap, shampoo, conditioner all provided. Air conditioners couldn't cool below 75 degrees, but the overhead fan helped. Greeted with a free, HUGE and delish alcoholic punch. Dinner (additional cost) and the included breakfast at Celeste's were both good and filling. About a 5-minute walk to the busy beach where you can find numerous outfitters.

We enjoyed our stay here for multiple reasons. It is surrounded by beautiful grounds, so even on the days where it rained and we were somewhat confined to our porch sitting area, it was still better than being at home. The staff were among the best we have ever encountered and went over and beyond in taking care of us. Management- owner Celeste and manager Lorelie- do a great job. Plus a special shout out to Rou, Lily, Bonnie. and Clyde,

We had a fantastic stay at West Bay Lodge. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating there. Loralie picked us up at the airport and stopped at the grocery store so we could pick up a few items. We stayed in a king bungalow. It was very comfortable. Great AC , nice big bathroom with hot water and a very comfy memory foam mattress. It also had a microwave and fridge with a freezer. We used the included ice cube trays to make ice for our insulated cups. I left to go diving every morning and breakfast would be in my fridge waiting for me when I got back. Every dish was so good and I looked forward to going back after scuba. Melanie was always available to answer any questions we had. She arranged a tour for us at the sloth sanctuary and Loralie drove us there. It was so fun and the sloths are adorable. Jimmy who takes care of the grounds was super nice too. I was able to practice my limited Spanish with him. All the animals are so cute but Rue the dog was our favorite. After staying at the beach for most of the day we loved going back to the pool for a swim. It was so relaxing and we met fellow travelers who loved the place too. We can’t wait to return.

This place is paradise. It has the jungle feel but is only a quick walk to the beach. The rooms are comfortable and the staff and owner are incredibly accommodating. The breakfasts are delicious and there is a restaurant at the front of the lodge. I was in bungalow 6 and it’s amazing. The pool is also really nice and being retiled. They offer free airport transfers if you are staying more than 5 nights which is a huge bonus. There is also shopping, groceries and plenty of restaurants in walking distance.

Our stay at the West Bay Lodge and Spa was amazing and we plan to return. From the guest service staff to our bungalow accommodations to the food at the new restaurant, Kristi's - it was all awesome. Great first-time Roatan experience! Thank you all for making it a special trip for us! We'll be back.

We recently spent a week at the West Bay Lodge with family and friends to celebrate a wedding anniversary - there were 30 of us total. Celeste and her amazing staff made us feel welcome and comfortable. The short walk to the beach at West Bay is beautiful and not exceptionally crowded. Snorkeling is a must, so many things to see just off the beach. Plenty of restaurant choices in the area.
